Akestay, Kazakhstan, 15/11/2003..The Kazmunaigaz oilfileds on the eastern shore of the Caspian Sea. The proximity of the sea results in regular flooding of the fields, consequent pollution of the Caspian, and has turned the oilfield into a muddy wasteland.
