Civil War In Moscow 1993
Moscow, Russia, 04/10/1993..A pro-Government militiaman watches tanks bombard the Russian Parliament while standing over captured rebels who had surrendered from the parliament building. When President Boris Yeltsin dissolved the opposition-dominated Russian Parliament, deputies and supporters, led by Vice President Alexander Rutskoi, barricaded themselves inside the White House. After a 10 day stand-off the situation exploded into violence between pro and anti Yeltsin forces.
